I am delighted our paths are intersecting.  For isn’t it time

for wisdom gathering women to renew our spirits in each other’s company, deepen into our heart’s intentions, breathe gently into the unknown and face the mess we’re all in together?

I appreciate the courage it has taken you to live your life. Women know a lot about courageously facing the unknown. And from my own life experience as a maiden, mother and now a crone, I know that it’s not easy. . . .

In tough times, even the bravest of women can:

1. •Hold back your gifts for fear you are not enough / too much
   

2. •Fear rejection if you step out further to be seen or heard
   

3. •Get stuck in old beliefs about being “a woman your age”
   

4. •Resist following your longing to create more inner peace
   

Each of us has essential women’s wisdom, much needed in our communities now. The challenge we each face is to free up our inner blocks, grow bold (versus grow old) and shine as we learn new ways to:

1. • Re-charge our energy
   

2. • Feel refreshed by dipping into inner wisdom
   

3. • Get creatively inspired
   

4. • Speak up and share our visions
   

5. • Circle up and contribute to changes in our world
   

6. • Open to mischief and wonder as we do all this
   

We are the largest demographic in the world!

Our daughters, sons and grandchildren are hungry for a new model of aging women, one based not on decline and fear, but on CONTINUAL AND COURAGEOUS GROWTH OF SPIRIT AND SPUNK. Here’s the new story we are here to tell:

Over the hill there is a wise old crone. . .

who risks going to her growing edge every day (yup, even when she wakes up feeling crabby or lost). Imagine that.

She has seen thousands of beginnings and endings. Her own shadows no longer scare her. She knows when and how to let go. She knows the circle always comes back round. Her heart stays open through life’s ups and downs. She is REAL.

And whenever this wise old woman steps onto her growing edge, she FEELS real. When she makes a mistake, she learns and forgives herself. What a relief!

This old crone knows it is time SOON to step out in a big way and serve her community. So, she is getting ready to circle up with other wise women to. . . .

My path through menopause ~ one-of-a-kind

Twenty years ago, at age 42, my menses stopped in a time of potent life changes.  Let me give you a snapshot.  Rich, my beloved husband of 10 years had died peacefully at home, three years before. To my amazement, my Self-Healing Cookbook (published right before the major forest fire that blanketed our town with the week of smoke that brought on Rich’s health decline) was selling by the thousands. And joy of joys - I had a toddler son!  But my rebound marriage was in crisis and sadly headed for divorce. In hopes of a fresh start, we had moved to a new city. The next year my dear brother died in an accident. Enough drama, my body said.  I went through menopause as a new mom, super-stressed, hyper-sensitive and exhausted.

What an initiation! How did I make it through?

Crones know. . .

When one flow stops, another opens much wider. By my late forties, I was deeply grateful to be surrounded by wise women in sacred circles, healing myself and drinking in life in big gulps. In my 50’s, I deepened into my work as an energy healer and women’s circle facilitator.  And perhaps most important - I committed to being 100% alive, all of me here.

I recharged my purpose for being.

My vision . . .

I am 62 now.  Everyday in my circle of post-menopausal women friends I see passionate wisdom in action. On the threshold of my 61st birthday I had a vision.  A powerful, body-felt experience of the history of women’s suppression.
